People and Culture Manager
Punchcut is seeking a new team member to support our company leadership. You’ll help nurture and extend our company culture, help our team achieve their personal / professional growth and work to continually improve the Punchcut experience. Candidates should have experience as an HR generalist and be enthusiastic about implementing programs that expand our training, DEI, and performance development initiatives. This is a full-time or part-time role (we can flex for the right person).

Your main duties in this role:
The People and Culture Manager is accountable for working with our Leadership team to cultivate our people and our working experience in line with our strategic mission and business goals.
- Help nurture Punchcut’s culture, ensuring ongoing inclusivity, collaboration, and differentiation with an increasingly distributed workforce
- Lead strategies and initiatives for employee engagement, connection, and retention
- Support our teams in providing effective feedback, coaching, and training
- Monitor employee satisfaction and improvement areas through formal and informal means
- Help lead our training, learning, and talent development programs
- Coach and advise new leaders in improving their management skills
- Manage relationships and communications with flex team members (temps, interns, contractors)
- Help lead our DEI committee, company-wide conversations, and related initiatives
- Inform employee leveling, compensation, and benefits decisions
- Manage day-to-day HR tasks, maintain HRIS, and answer employee HR questions as needed
- Working with our HR/compliance consultant, ensure we are following federal, state, and city HR requirements.
To succeed in this position you'll need:
- At least 5 years working as an HR generalist, recruiter, trainer or similar role
- Experience managing people
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Competency in Google Suite and interest/willingness to learn other HR, operational, and design tools
- Outstanding relationship, team-building and conflict resolution skills
- A cool head, enthusiasm, lots of positive energy, and a sense of humor

- Prior experience in a People & Culture role
- Experience working in a design agency
- Experience using Bamboo, Small Improvements and similar tools
