Front-End Developer - Contract
Punchcut is looking for a front-end developer to build attractive and functional Wordpress pages for Punchcut’s public-facing website. You will be responsible mostly in front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates. We’re looking for a capable frontend developer with a good eye for aesthetics and strong content management skills. This is a remote friendly contract role that will work with our team regularly on an ongoing basis in a time-sensitive manner.
Responsibilities
- Meeting with internal stakeholders to discuss website design and function.
- Designing and building the website front-end.
- Creating and maintaining the website architecture, following best practices and optimization principles.
- Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
- Generating WordPress themes and plugins.
- Troubleshooting content issues.
- Monitoring the performance of the live website.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Knowledge of back-end technologies including PHP.
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience writing clean, well documented, and organized code
Bonus points for
- Knowledge of best practices for organizing and administering Wordpress sites.
