Content Strategist
Looking for an experienced Content Strategist to help develop strategy and plan for the creation, publication, and governance of useful, usable content across a financial-services-focused marketing website.
The Content Strategist must work to define not only which content will be published, but why it’s being published, helping to assess existing content, understanding opportunities based on gap analysis, new strategies, and marketplace trends.
Tasks + Responsibilities
- Audit existing product and services online content
- Understand content, products, solutions
- Facilitate discussions re: content with business, product, design, and technical stakeholders
- Document and communicate content findings, requirements, and recommendations, focused on website and content architecture
- Competitive/Comparative analysis of tone, theme, structure, etc.
- Develop content strategy and guidelines, including SEO strategy
- Refine voice and tone with a deep focus on consumers (“outside in” vs. “inside out” strategy)
- Work in collaboration with interaction and visual designers
- Develop content hierarchies
- Develop content for specific areas of the website
- Execution of strategy via detailed copy development and copywriting
- Help translate content into design and technical requirements
- Help facilitate Punchcut legal review of content
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in content strategy and content creation fields
- Able to work proactively, independently and as part of a team
- Professional conduct and demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior presentation and negotiation skills
- Digital product experience / exposure
- Proven management and organizational skills
- Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments
- Relevant, high quality sample deliverables
- Experience with content strategy
