3D Motion Designer - Contract
Punchcut is looking for a 3D Motion Designer to remotely join our team on a 60 – 90 day contract with the potential to extend or hire. Our designers have a strong understanding of user-centered design and are comfortable working both independently and in collaboration with other designers in a fast-paced studio environment. Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience working on 3D motion graphics, Cinema 4D experience and a superb reel that showcases their best work. Bonus points for experience with Unity or working on VR/AR applications.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a lead 3D Motion Designer on client projects
- Model, texture, and animate assets in Cinema 4D that will export to Unity
- Assist and adjust modeling strategies to work based on Unity limitations
- Set up 3D scenes in Unity
- Work with designers to apply user-centered design processes to solve new and unique problems
- Explore a range of motion directions and solutions
- Assist in creating effective, compelling stories
- Collaborate closely with interaction designers, visual designers, and developers.
- Deliver high quality, breathtaking, “they did what?!” kinda work
Qualifications
- 2-3 years minimum experience in 3D digital motion design.
- A stellar portfolio + reel that shows creative range and innovative thinking
- Deep experience in Cinema 4D
- Superior communication and organization skills
- Understanding of VR technologies
- Ability to produce great work in short timeframes, and manage time efficiently while multitasking
- Ambitious, proactive, conceptual, and honest
- A strong animation skill set
BONUS POINTS FOR:
- Unity experience
- VR UI currently in market
- Experience directing and/or mentoring other designers
- Advanced logic based prototyping (Origami)
