Passwords are a necessary evil. Or are they? Tablet web users have to put up with the leftover desktop assumption that every session must be secured. By hand.

Until mobile web sites remember my iPad and until Safari properly stores my credentials, I've created my own workaround. I rewrote my passwords so I can easily input them with one hand, while the other hand holds the iPad.

Buy a Hyundai Equus and get an iPad preloaded with the owners manual app. But, this is more than a marketing gimmick…

PixelMags may make a great catalog engine for iPad, or then again, they may not.

To most people I’ve encountered (outside the Bay Area tech scene) the iPad is a mysterious thing. The impression has been one of reluctant acceptance; as if individuals are unable to resist the accelerating march of technology. For instance, in a focus group, when asked about upgrading mobile phones I’ve heard something to the effect of "I don’t know what it does or what I could use it for but everyone’s getting them so I guess I will have to get one eventually." And technology marches on....
