Airport Kiosk UI Concept
Challenge
Kiosks are fixed nodes. But in the context of a multi-device ecosystem, they are taking on new meaning. As screens become ubiquitous — embedded in car dashboards, home appliances, retail environments — there is opportunity for innovation, and increasing need for specialized research and design solutions that ensure these screens integrate seamlessly into their environment.
Solution
Punchcut specializes in multi-device, convergent experiences. We help companies leverage kiosks and secondary screens as a part of a larger ecosystem of mobility. They represent an opportunity to create connectivity hubs across various contexts. Our designers consider how they are used individually and collectively, and support self-service functionality for the retail, travel and institutional industries.

Hospital UI Concept
With our experience designing touch- and gesture-based interfaces, we’re often asked to share best practices that we’ve learned along the way. Here are a few:
_ Show people the way: New contextually aware technologies empower these large screens to detect someone’s presence and offer a personally tailored experience.
_ Encourage sharing behaviors: As fixed screens, kiosks are ideal touch-points for two-way synching, distributed data-sharing and multi-layer inputs.
