NEW YORK, May 5, 2010 — User interface design company Punchcut® announced today the addition of New York-based Design Director Sandy Fershee. Fershee's work in the mobile industry spans more than a decade, and has focused on empowering leading brands to deliver on the promise of next-generation mobile user experiences.
As design director, Fershee will help to evolve Punchcut’s specialization in designing multi-device experiences.
“I am really looking forward to helping Punchcut extend its track record for delivering top-notch, leading-edge work to some of the most influential companies in the space," Fershee says. "In this role, I have an opportunity to touch a variety of projects and get innovative ideas into the hands of users. For me and for Punchcut, it’s not about small screens and big screens — it’s about creating natural digital and environmental experiences that are true to human mobility.”
Fershee joins Punchcut from mobile design consultancy Frank First where she was founding partner and director of interaction design. Prior to that, she worked with Motorola as a design lead, and at Razorfish as a key member of the agency’s mobile division. At Punchcut, Fershee will help the company expand its practice in New York and better serve its East Coast and European clients.
"Obviously, we’re very excited to have Sandy on board," says Ken Olewiler, managing director. "Her interaction design expertise and pulse on the changing industry landscape make her invaluable to any project team. What’s more, her personal leadership style and character are a great fit for us as we enter an exciting time of growth."
