SAN FRANCISCO, August 14, 2010 — Both Jared Benson, executive creative director, and Gretchen Anderson, design director at Punchcut will give talks at Device Design Day in San Francisco.
Jared Benson will present "One Size Does Not Fit All", discussing how to uncover the unique opportunities that emerge when designing for convergence. Yes, there's value in designing for each individual device in a converged ecosystem, but there are broader opportunities that emerge when conceiving of a holistic experience, inclusive of all the devices that may exist in that ecosystem. Jared will outline Punchcut's perspective on Experience Systematics™.
Gretchen Anderson will present "Motivating Healthy Behaviors." Her talk asserts we've moved into an era where the gadgets we use affect our very being. Purpose-built medical devices are moving into the hands of consumers, and apps deliver healthcare over-the-air. Her session looks at key concerns and best practices when designing medical devices and motivating healthy behaviors.
